Gerbert Verheij is a writer and researcher. He has a Master’s degree in Art History (Universidade Nova de Lisboa) and a PhD degree in Public Space and Urban Regeneration (Universidad de Barcelona). He writes about exhibitions and books (Revista4, Re·Vis·Ta, Punkto, Folha de Montemor), was the editor of an ephemeral arts magazine (http://paraquedas.cerejeira.com/) and has published academic work on public art and participation, political monuments in the former Portuguese colony of Mozambique, the architect Miguel Ventura Terra and planning culture in Lisbon during the early twentieth century – the latter was the object of his PhD thesis. He lives and ocassionaly works in Montemor-o-Novo.
